When I use Firefox I have 2 or more windows open. When I open an external link it opens in the most recent window. Is there any way to change the behavior so that all tabs open in my "Main" window?

Bonus points if links in "non-main" windows open into the main window as well.

There are 2 ways, if I understand you're request correctly. 1) go to Menu -- options -- general -- select "open new windows in new tab instead" 2) Right click the link and select "open in new tab"

No, the problem isn't opening in a tab, it does that. The problem is what window the tab opens in. Right now it opens in the last active window and I want it to open in a specific window no matter which window was last active.

I don't think that you can do this unless all other windows would be Private Browsing mode windows by default.

You can use an extension to get Private Browsing mode support per tab.

Private Browsing mode tabs get a dashed underline You can toggle Private Browsing mode on/off via the right-click context menu of a tab
