How to disable "use secure authentication" from Thunderbird 45.4.0?
I would like to know how to disable the default "use secure authentication" in Thunderbird 45.4.0. I need this to be disabled so I can use my university account. Thanks

In older versions, there used to be an option to click or unclick "Use secure authentication" but in this version, this option is not present in server configuration. Thanks for your answer

My problem is this : The identification with imap server is incorrect. It asks me about my password.
But the setting of imap and smtp is correct, and the password too, any ideas?

Note: Your configuration is POP, not IMAP.

The mail I'm using says that POP setting is not available, Is this the problem?

I don't have other ideas, but "Use secure authentication" not exits in thunderbird. Is a settings the microsoft outlook. I think you should ask your provider the configuration.
