no screensaver, all my apps, no nothing after installing firefox update and shutdown. when I plugged my computer back in computer just says installing 3 of 3 with 0 percent progress for 2 days; and not to shutdown or unplug computer. was running Microsoft Vista without a problem except couldn't access some sites because they said browser needed upgrades.

Hi
This sounds like a series of sizeable updates to Windows are coming through at the same time (by coincidence) as an update to Firefox.
I recommend making sure the Windows updates have come through, before then updating Firefox, further to the walk-through in this article.
Firefox update?
The version number of Firefox that you were using when that message appeared might be helpful to figure out what that was or why it was triggered. Please describe that "update" and how you proceeded. Did you need to save a "firefox-patch.js" file (or "firefox-patch.exe") file and then install that "patch"?
If so, that was a fake "update" - not from Mozilla and is probably malicious.
Then I am done updating! I am sick and tired of losing the use of my computer programs and access to college websites to updates. This has gone too far!
So how do I get my my plugins back the last update obliterated?I need my Google Voice plugin back.... Please?????!
W7, (no longer updates anyway....)

I run W7, and it no longer updates anyway.... I had to go back to an old version because your update of last week could not open and gave the following error: XPcom could not open
