Our company has a web-based client. It has a launch page which just opens a separate window with the client. We open the client very often, so usually it goes to favorite sites list. After upgrading Firefox to 46.0.1 we have a following problem: When user creates a new tab, Firefox open the client window on its own. This issue will not happen if you will remove the page from favorite, but it will happen again once it will appear on where again. It seems to me that Firefox refresh favorite sites and it is causing the issue. Is this a new feature of Firefox 46.0.1? Could it be disabled?

hi, rather sounds like a new bug that happens while the thumbnails for the pages pinned on the new tab page are created :-/ something similar happened back with https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1183044 when sound was playing from pinned tiles.

would you be able to share the source code of your launch page (or a reduced testcase)?

Hi Philipp,

Unfortunately I can't share the sources as is, but this link should be accessible for you. It is a link to the client I'm talking about.
