Have 2 printers; default laser printer; I print one thing on other printer, everything then prints on other printer; config editor doesn't work

Have Brother Laser printer and Epson Ink Jet printer. Brother Laser is set as default printer for our computer. Normally, we print emails on Brother as it's the default, but occasionally we need to print something on the Epson Ink Jet. Once we print on the Epson, ALL further emails default to the Epson Ink Jet instead of the Brother Laser. Have gone to the "Config Editor" option and the Brother Laser printer listed as "print.print_printer". What's going on? How can we fix and get back to the Brother Laser printer? Thanks.

delete the printer entry, use the print preview to select the other printer. Just about anything print related really. but your last used printer will become your default in Thunderbird It is one of Thunderbird's annoying habits.

What a simple fix--print from print preview! Thanks!

I printed one time from "print preview" section after changing the printer in that section to the printer I wanted and that did stick as the default printer. Thank you for the simple answer. This is way easier than trying to change the dozens of printer_printer entries in the config editor.
