I've lost the capability to use colour when composing emails.

Why not? Are the controls absent, or present but ineffective?
Good question. Sorry, I did not make myself clear.
I have all the controls ... I can highlight text and change font/size, bold, italic, underline, etc., but when I change colour, the change does not take effect.
I hope you can help.
