Many add-ons appeared as unverified after update to FF43. I used them from long time and they were perfectly ok with the previous versions of FF. How could I continue to use them? Even the dictionary with my local language and DAP are unverified. How could I use again add-ons that were externally installed, not from Mozilla site, as DAP add-on for example, which came with the installation of DAP? Pinterest button which came from Pinterest site also doesn't work.

My suggestion is to be added option unverified add-ons to could be used too as manually allowed by the user. With the proper warning that this is recommended for experienced users.

I won't bother providing feedback as it would be probably unnecessary as "user feedback". Just let me remind that users - their number and satisfaction - is what help a browser to be on top. When I switched from IE to FF was because FF satisfied me much more and it was and still is the best browser imho. But nothing is constant, even the love of hard-core fans like me, and whoever rely that a thing is constant could only make a mistake.

PS. I suggested something there, just not to seem I run from the problem.

The new "verification" or "signing" program is working as planned by Mozilla, so I doubt if Mozilla will be making any changes to it based upon user feedback. But you can provide feedback directly to Mozilla here: https://input.mozilla.org/en-US/feedback

Extensions hosted at 3rd party websites can be submitted to Mozilla for signing and will be returned to whoever submitted it. There is no requirement that an add-on has to be hosted at the Mozilla Add-ons website. DAP and Pinterest can still host or provide their own add-ons.

As far as user choice about using unverified add-ons, that is an option in Firefox 43 - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/add-on-signing-in-firefox#w_what-can-i-do-if-firefox-disables-an-installed-unsigned-add-on - but come Firefox 44 that preference will be gone per the current schedule, which has been pushed-back twice.

In Firefox 44 and later versions, an unbranded version [with a different name or no name at all] should be available [I have seen it mentioned, but it isn't available currently] for users who want to "by-pass" signing. But this "unbranded" version won't be easy to find; Mozilla isn;t going to be "advertising" it.

And many useful, verified till FF42 and working add-ons will be gone for nothing? Is that the plan? Pinterest is a famous site and DAP is one of the most known download accelerators. What kind of a threat they could be? I doubt if their founders will asking for verification so I suppose I should say farewell to these add-ons.

And if user feedback is not important why is this section at all? I found this your note being rude. Till now none of my question here had such rude reply.

Sorry if you thought my answer was rude.

You have already been informed as to where you can provide feedback to Mozilla in a previous "question" thread. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1092144

Feel free to close my question, seems it won't have a real solution.
