Just up-Dated FireFox, Where are my BOOKMARKS ?
I have (normally 68 Bookmarks) Not including the Bookmark, Toolbar. I just Up-Dated to the whatever version of Firefox, the same as I have many times in the past. I think I started with Firefox 9. I have never had a problem, never had to save stuff to a file before I update. But this time It didn't bring over any bookmarks, passwords.... Like a new First time install without any warnings, or instructions. I got the pop-up to update Firefox, so I clicked the Update Now button like always for Firefox. this is the only browser I use so importing my lost stuff can't be done. I need to revert back to the one I had that worked perfectly. Please I don't have a perfect memory to keep track of web site addresses, that why I bought a computer; so I wouldn't have to. I mean if your gonna wipe out 10 years of saved stuff you could at least put a warning on the stupid Pop-Up.

Are there any compressed .jsonlz4 backups in the bookmarkbackups folder in the profile folder?
Did you refresh (reset) Firefox during your update and created a new profile?
This could happen if Firefox reported that it was starting slowly.
When you refresh/reset Firefox then a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, form data) is automatically imported. The current profile folder will be moved to an "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop. Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, prefs) that you have made are lost and need to be redone.
It is possible to recover data from the "Old Firefox Data" folder on the desktop, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

These can't get your data back, but will help in the future.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
