Is it possible to disable onClose event in firefox preferences? What about other "nice" weird javascript features?

Lets face it - javascript should always on. Lots of websites does not work at all without javascript.

However onClose event is bad event. Even "good" websites sometimes use it for something like collecting statistics. I do not care about their data, i just want to close the tab. As soon as I push 'x'. Immediately. Not 'in a few minutes'. Immediately.

So i want to block not the entire javascript, but only one type of events.

I understand that if you will exclude 'onclose' from javascript implementation forever - developers (and spammers) will flood your techsupport with requests for enabling it back. But it can be part of preferences, so users can disable this themselves.

Think it would be nice if it will be possible to block any type of event.

No, it is not possible to disable specific parts of Javascript. It's either on or off. However, there are add-ons that may do what you want, so it's worth looking into.

Also, you are using a fairly old version of Firefox, please update to 39.
