How can I locate my favorites on an old hard drive?

I bought a new computer and installed Firefox. Firefox was also installed on my old computer, and I have the old hard disk connected to my new computer as the E drive. I would like to get my bookmarks copied from the old drive into my current profile on my new C drive, but I cannot locate the old favorites. On the old computer, I think I was using Vista, but I don't know which version of Firefox. Here are the searches I have tried (hidden folders should be showing):

json (a lot of results were found, but for other programs only.) places.sqlite (no results) bookmarkbackups (no results) mrv9503t.default (no results. This is apparently the name of the file in question on my NEW computer.) .default (338 results?!) %APPDATA%\Mozilla (no results) %APPDATA% (12 results, all related to Windows) E:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile> (no results) E:\Users\<user> (no results) E:\Users (3 results, but none are named "user")

I figured it out. I didn't realize that <user> and <profile> refer to names on my computer. Once that dawned on me, I was able to restore from a backup by following instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/restore-bookmarks-from-backup-or-move-them
