Firefox Hello - FF Version 36. I have a laptop with integrated webcam and also a 64bit Desktop with USB Logitech C500 Webcam. The new Firefox Hello feature seems to work OK with the laptop ..... but in the case of the desktop will not integrate the USB webcam during the invitation email process although the email has in effect been sent and received. As a consequence there is no video or audio exchange with the third party when accepting to "Join the conversation". Could this be a configuration issue ?

HI Graham, I understand that when you send an email invite to another user and send the email, the webcam on your computer is not engaged. In order to make sure that hello has permission to share the webcam please follow these instructions: Firefox Hello can't access my camera or microphone

Permissions are in order. However my 64bit desktop has a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR2200 card installed. When disabled the Firefox Hello feature works OK with both USB Logitech C500 Camera and Microphone engaged. This is not the case when the Hauppauge device is enabled. The reason for the TV card needing to access the camera and microphone is not apparent. Are you able to assist further. Thank you.

Hi Graham, it will list all the detected available hardware.

The "TV card accessing the camera and microphone is not apparent" can you explain this a little further please?

Please disregard that particular comment as it was an assumption on my part. The fact remains that Firefox Hello will work with the Hauppauge TV card disabled but not when re-enabled. My Device Manager shows that both Hauppauge and Logitech hardware are "working properly" when enabled. Could it be a conflict issue ? Your help is much appreciated.

Potentially, there are two hunches: that there is a driver conflict in Windows or a Firefox platform bug

I cannot reproduce this due to lack of hardware however filing a bug in bugzilla may be the next best step to finding a fix for this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Loop&component...
