Yesterday Firefox would not open a site on Yahoo about Jimmy Carter saying it couldn't decompress the site.
The article would not open. I got a message something to the effect that Firefox didn't support the compression the site used. Explorer opened the site OK. I have been using Firefox for about 3 weeks now and this is the first time I have had to resort to Explorer

hello Capnden, is this an error with the website that is reproducible? if so, could you tell us the exact URL of the page in question, so that we could have a look at it... thanks!
You can check the network.http.* prefs on the about:config page. Reset network.http prefs to the default value via the right-click context menu -> Reset if they are user set (bold).
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
