Sent items aren't copying to sent folder/no limitations on server side
When sending a message, Thunderbird responds with a message that says that the email cannot be sent to the sent folder. Sometimes it will eventually copy to the sent folder and sometimes it won't. When it does copy there are multiple copies in the sent folder. I've already checked on the server side and we don't have any limitations. The server is running smoothly. Is anyone else experiencing these issues and is there a patch for this?

Check your settings are correct: Tools > Account Settings Click on 'Copies & Folders' for the imap mail account. when sending messages Select: Place a copy in Select: 'Other' and select the Sent folder on the imap mail account. click on OK
Then check to see how big the 'Sent' folder has become. If this is an IMAP mail account and you synchronise the Sent folder, then a copy of the folder is created in your Profile mail account folder. It is saved as an mbox text file. All emails are written one after the other into that single file. The bigger the file, the more memory it takes to open it. If this is a Hotmail/live/outlook.com or Gmail account, uncheck the "Place copy in" setting above, since these providers automatically copy messages to the IMAP Sent folder.

I get the error message when I send an e-mail that it won't be copied to the sent folder, so I never know what I've actually sent. I check with the addressees, and they have received the e-mail, but I can't tell that! Help, please????!!!! my e-mail is [email protected].
