SUDDENLY THUNDERBIRD WILL NOT SHOW PICTURES THAT ARE PART OF AN EMAIL. TEXT IS FINE JUST NO PHOTO.

It does show that little corrupted picture icon. Using windows XP. Pictures will display outside of Thunderbird.

GO TO TOOLS --- OPTIONS -- ADVANCE --- GENERAL --- CONFIG EDITOR

Search for mailnews.message_display.disable_remote_image and Change it to FALSE
