How to add tiles? I used to have 12 tiles, now I only have 6.
When opening Firefox, I used to have 12 tiles, now I can only see 6. How do I add more?

Take a look at this site.
Customize new tab page in Mozilla Firefox
Specifically look at the following: There is an extra "More options" link given at the bottom of the "New Tab" page settings sidebar. You can click on it to change some advanced settings.

I just tested my zoom setting as well and noticed that when I zoomed out I displayed more tiles in my new tab.
So, other than the options listed earlier, you may want to try to change your zoom.
On new tab Open your menu change zoom to something like 67% by hitting the minus sign see if more tiles are displayed for you
It appears that Firefox is set to display 5 columns and 3 rows by default
The zoom function does work but only temporarily. When i reopen a new tab the zoom goes back to 100% and I can only see 6 tiles. At 80% i see 12 tiles which is what i want it permanently set at. Can i lock the zoom at 80% or do i have to reset it each time ( to 80%) to see 12 tiles.
Any help greatly appreciated - Thanks, Peter
Hi Petesake
You can try to toggle the browser.newtab.preload pref to false on the about:config page. You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
You can also look at this extension:
- New Tab Tools: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/new-tab-tools/
Yeah thanks for that. Had a look at modifying preferences etc thru about:config but got a bit lost about which preference name to modify. Went the easy route and went with the addon cheers. Sure I had something like this but think it went missing in a Mozilla update.
Thanks, Peter
