I've followed all the sites, (apple, MS, and Mozilla) and all are very similar in approach, so I'm hoping i'm missing something simple. I have a total of 22,000 (yes I know) emails in MS Live Mail. The folder on my hard drive according to MS properties, is appoximately 5GB. I have "exported" all the emails, and the new exported mail folder is approximately 5GB with 22,000 "files" as shown in properties in windows. I have imported that file into TB on the Windows machine. I now have (in various folders) a total of 22,000 emails in TB. All great. My "profile" folder (according to properties in windows) is also approximately 5GB. However, that profile folder in windows, while 5BG is size, only has 249 "files", (not 22,000) and after I import to Apple Mail, the 249 "files" results in only 9 emails. I'm SO close. Any ideas on how to get the 22,000 emails from TB to Apple Mail? Thanks!

When you imported the 22k eml files to TB, they were converted to mbox files; a single mbox file, corresponding to a folder of emails, contains multiple messages. Select Help/Troubleshooting Information/Show Folder to open the profile folder, and look for the files in the Mail and ImapMail subfolders (including Local Folders) that have no extension and are of significant size. These are the mbox files that you can import to Apple Mail.

If you prefer, you can use the ImportExportTools add-on mentioned in the article to export TB mail folders to mbox files.
