Strg+F function starts without pressing Strg+F
Like the question says: Its a very strange problem. Its about the searchfield at the which should only open with strg+f at the bottom of ff. When I open a new site it kinda loses like focus of my cursor. For example I open google or a spreadsheet or any other site, clicking with mouse in a searchfield like googlesearch or anything, start typing and strg+f field at the bottom opens and I type there. It happens sometimes while the site is still loading but not every time. Sometimes it happens when I switch tab to a site which was opened a lot of time ago. Ive read there was something like a focusbug with ff sometime ago but I do not know if this is the same problem. Also I dont know how to reproduce this error, because it happens so randomly. If there is no valid solution I would like to completly deactivate the function strg+f so that I can only start it through using the topmenu.

The crash reports show a problem with the Flash plugin and thus do not seem to be related to your issues with the find bar opening.
You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:
- check for updates for your graphics drive drivers
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration - disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
- disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

It is possible that the Quick find bar gets triggered somehow. You can try if this extension helps:
Hello thx for the answer first.
I installed searchhotkeys and set extensions.searchhotkeys.disable_all to true. The problem still occurs with searchbar opening.
As far as I can tell, it seems the problem doesnt exist in safe mode.
hmm it does exist in safe mode. clicking with mouse in googlesearchfield, started to type, searchfield at the bottom opens and type there.
If it works in Safe Mode and in normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) disabled then try to find which extension is causing it by enabling one extension at a time until the problem reappears.
Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit)
sry shortly after i postet the reply that in safe mode everything is fine the problem occured
since my last post i also completly removed firefox and preferences and reinstalled it fresh
after a short while the same behaviour occured in the new installed firefox
maybe typeahead has something to do with problem i described?
should I post something like a protocol or anything to help?
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

hello ty for the suggestions
ive done the scans with all the programms you mentioned they found some minor problem which i let fix but they didnt look like they were related to ff well and the problem still persists after doing all scans and rootkit
is there a way to manipulate the about:config to influence this? it really looks like a minor issue maybe some preference is wrong there even though the problem happened even with basic preferences?
