Bookmarks - Exact Same Issue as below yet no answers to this persons question - plesae help - about to abandon FireFox
Recently cleaned up my bookmarks. Previously when I clicked on the bookmark file bar icon (between history and tools buttons at the top of the screen) the bookmark drop down would appear with my folders and links (as expected) and when I moused over a folder it would open a drop down list on the left of the main bookmark drop down but now it is opening on the right. How can I get it back to opening on the right?
This is not about having a bookmark pane always open on the left side of the window. Rather it is about how to control how the drop down menus act. (OSX 10.9.3 and Firefox 30.0)
Thanks
Below is the link to the above person's question - very well put so I am copying here.

I want my sub-menu back on the left and if it's not possible if someone could please reply - I am frustrated and tired of trying to fix this after four hours now. Over several days. I work ridiculous hours and just do not have the energy for this FireFox is great but about to get the boot - this is that important to me.

That can be caused by having some bookmarks with a long title in the main Bookmarks menu. The width of a column in the Bookmarks menu list is in current Firefox versions automatically adjusted to fit the bookmark with the longest name. You can check the names of the bookmarks and make the longer ones shorter.
