Firefox goes to the security risk page when I try to sync and will not allow me to proceed
When I click on the "sync" button, I'm taken to the "security risk" page by Firefox with no way to get out of it. After that, I can't even go to the Firefox site to find an answer as Firefox tells me that Firefox is a security risk. Makes no sense! I had to go to IE to get to the Mozilla site to ask the question. I've reset Firefox twice and it is still a problem.

Can you attach a screenshot?

- Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
- Make sure that you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB
I've uploaded a screenshot. I have several times clicked the button that I would take the risk, but it keeps going back to this page. Initially, it didn't even allow for me to choose that I would take the risk. How is it that Mozilla is considering their own website a security risk??
Check the date and time and time zone in the clock on your computer: (double) click the clock icon on the Windows Taskbar.
Check out why the site is untrusted and click "Technical Details" to expand this section. If the certificate is not trusted because no issuer chain was provided (sec_error_unknown_issuer) then see if you can install this intermediate certificate from another source.
You can retrieve the certificate and check details like who issued certificates and expiration dates of certificates.
- Click the link at the bottom of the error page: "I Understand the Risks"
Let Firefox retrieve the certificate: "Add Exception" -> "Get Certificate".
- Click the "View..." button and inspect the certificate and check who is the issuer of the certificate.
You can see more Details like intermediate certificates that are used in the Details pane.
If "I Understand the Risks" is missing then this page may be opened in an (i)frame and in that case try the right-click context menu and use "This Frame: Open Frame in New Tab".
- Note that some firewalls monitor (secure) connections and that programs like Sendori or FiddlerRoot can intercept connections and send their own certificate instead of the website's certificate.
- Note that it is not recommended to add a permanent exception in cases like this, so only use it to inspect the certificate.
I've attached another screenshot of the technical information after choosing to Add Exception. It looks like some site called Superfish, Inc. is intercepting anything that I try to open using Firefox. How do I get rid of this? I thought Firefox was supposed to be the most secure website and this happens. What's the fix? Thanks for your help.
Thank you. Appreciate your help. It's very odd that it is happening as this is a brand new computer and I haven't downloaded anything on it yet except for Firefox! Probably downloaded with firefox... thanks again
