Have recently started using Thunderbird (been using Outlook 2003) and have installed Lightening add on. I have created a number of tasks (mainly recurring) but they are not displaying in 'Tasks' pane on Thunderbird's main 'email' tab - they all have both Start and Due dates. The Task 'date' is highlighted in the mini-month display but the Task is not listed below in the Tasks pane. If I open the Calendar tab then tasks are displayed under their various dates. On one occasion the Tasks did list on the Tasks pane of Thunderbird's main mail tab(page) but next time I 'opened' Thunderbird they had disappeared!

I have no answer for you, but you might post on this thread. Perhaps the two affected might get some value out of talking.https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1017718

Some commonality of software or even the use of the two factor authentication on Google.

Thanks Matt have reposted on link you suggested. Sounds like a Lightening/Thunderbird problem rather than Google as I do not use Google and just sync with my phone calendar.

For some inexplicable reason Tasks are now displaying in the Tasks pane on the 'Mail' tab. As far as I am aware I have not changed anything!!! Weird - will repost if problem re-occurs.
