None of the things you said to try worked. What next? I use windows 8 OS

You may have zoomed the page(s) by accident.
Reset the page zoom on pages that cause problems.

  • View > Zoom > Reset (Ctrl/Command+0 (zero))

That has not helped. What next?

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum/default font size then try the default minimum setting "none" and the default font size 16 in case the current setting is causing problems.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their own fonts.

  • Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.

Any other ideas? Nothing so far has worked.

I remembered having seen this before, but couldn't remember its cause.

Sounds that you have this issue with the DPI setting in Windows

I am not going to even attempt doing anything like this. Internet Explorer displays it properly with out jumping through hoops. It just occurs to me that if IE displays it correctly without all the hopla Firefox should be able to figure this out. It is quite a nuisance.

What is the current value of the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx pref on the about:config page? The default is -1.0

You can try to set layout.css.devPixelsPerPx to 1.0 to see if that works.

Make sure not to set this pref to a too low value or you won't be seeing any the text.

I don't know how to get to the about:config page. Send me something in easy terms as to how to get there. Please do not send the same thing to me again I have already gotten that several times.

more options

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and you can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue

You continue to mention the location bar, but you have yet to tell me where it is. I have tried a few places with no results so thanks I'll just live with the issue or go back to using IE.

Going to about:config is the same thing as opening a simple webpage.

Location bar = address bar.

I don't have an account on iCloud, so I can't see where the problem is. Is it the icon shown in the screenshot from the earlier thread: http://imgur.com/r/mac/hMVHr
