Restore Functionality AddOn does not work to disable tabs on top

more options

The "restore functionality" add on does NOT let me get my tabs back on the bottom. It turns them back into the square shape but does not move them from the top. I cannot even find the "tabs on top" in about:config in order to toggle it. I have no idea how to go back to 28, every time I've tried to go to an earlier version of Ffx in the last year or so I find that they've set things up so you can no longer choose an older setup file and download it; the only references I find to older versions get me a list of older versions and clicking on any of those just gets me some text file which is useless to me. And going back would cause a problem anyway, my Norton has a patch allowing it to work with 29, I doubt it would work with 28 now - I've found in the past that once Norton has been updated it becomes incompatible with earlier versions of Ffx.

  1. Open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A; Mac: Command+Shift+A), then the Extensions category.
  2. Next to Classic Theme Restorer, click the Options button.
  3. On the Main tab, in the top left corner, set "Tabs not on top" and make sure "Tabs in title bar" is not checked.

There is no about:config preference to set tabs on bottom in Firefox 29. There are other ways to go about it, like specialized add-ons or a user style, but there's no point in describing those methods since you already have Classic Theme Restorer.
