Shame on those who drove out Eich! He has a right to his opinion. Gays are not endearing themselves to millions. Bring him back!

I am totally disgusted with Firefox! You let a bunch of bullies drive out Eich. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but you like a bunch of Nazi gays do the very thing they were fighting for - equality. Bring back Eich or you will be losing many customers.

Mozilla didn't fire Brendan. Brendan made his own decision to step down as CEO and leave the company as he felt the impact from social media was doing more harm than good and preventing him from fulfilling his duties as CEO.

Mozilla addresses the FAQs here:

As an insider, I can say that it's not as bad as the media makes it seem. Mozilla is a diverse community of really awesome people who strive to make the Web a better place.

Furthermore, this thread is off-topic and shouldn't be discussed here as this is a place meant for technical support.

If you would like to discuss this further, please post in the governace list.

I'll be closing this thread as this is off-topic. This is not to silence you but to give you the information that I currently have and because this is off-topic for the forum.

It is up to Brendan to decide what to do.

You can look at this Mozilla blog post about "FAQ on CEO Resignation":

Brendan Eich resigned himself and said: “I have decided to resign as CEO effective April 3rd, and leave Mozilla. Our mission is bigger than any one of us, and under the present circumstances, I cannot be an effective leader. I will be taking time before I decide what to do next.”
