When I click on the View in iTunes for a particular application it should then invoke iTunes and bring up the application. It doesn't as if iTunes is not installed on my computer; it is. The link does what it is supposed to do in both IE and Chrome. Any suggestions on how to get it working in Firefox?

Hello,

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache. Note: This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to. To clear cache and cookies do the following:

  1. Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
  2. Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
  3. Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
  4. From the details list, check Cache and Cookies and uncheck everything else.
  5. Now click the Clear now button.

Further information can be found in the Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox article.

Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!

Thank you.

What is View in iTunes? A Firefox extension?

Have you tried disabling Adblock Plus as a troubleshooting step?

Yes, I disabled ADP and still doesn't invoke iTunes. Odd, it works in Chrome and IE. When I click on "view in iTunes" it should then bring up iTunes Store but doesn't work in Firefox.

I tried that but still doesn't invoke iTunes when I click a "view in iTunes link" in Firefox.

Bummer. Did you check to see if the code I posted is in the file? If it isn't, that's the problem -- even if the fix that worked for me didn't put it back for you. Perhaps manually adding it will work? Make sure you look for other entries related to that filetype, too -- perhaps you accidentally clicked the "don't open" button once? Been there, done that.
