I installed Firefox 9.0.1 in a different folder (program files>mozilla firefox9) rather than deleting 3.6.25 (program files>mozilla firefox) in order to keep the "old" version. Version 9 is not compatible with several of my add-ons. However, whichever version I start 9.0.1 comes up. Can I use the Windows XP control panel to delete Firefox 9 without damaging my 3.6.25 installation?

Make sure that you use separate profile for each version and that Firefox 9 isn't running when you want to start Firefox 3.6.x

Otherwise you need to add the -no-remote switch to the command line in the target field.
