That fzip installer is handled by Foxit Reader. Instructions are near the top of the download page for the plugin. Or you can use "Check for Updates" in the Foxit Help menu. Your details indicate that you already have some version of the Foxit plugin.

Open that zip file and see if there is a file named install.rdf inside. If so rename that fzip to xpi and use File > Open File... to install it.
Hi and thanks for getting back to me. Normally I am able to do most things with Windows and most programs.. However, I am not able to open the file with Firefox as it wants me to tell it which program to use. I have the file on my desktop, but Notepad will not open it. Firefox also asks me which program to use when Firefox is asking me "what should firefox do with this file?" That happens after I have gone to Firefox/File/Open file and it gives me the question of what do you want Firefos to do with this file. The only choices are to open it or save it. My problem is I do not know which program to select to open it. So which program should I use? Very sorry and thank you again. Jsteff [email protected]
Sorry, if opening a zip file for examining the contents is beyond your level of expertise, see Foxit for help with that file. If it is a Firefox plugin / addon the file extension is wrong and they should be providing differently, or be providing an explanation of how to install it.

My solution was far easier and faster with no other involvement with other programs needed. It was what your tech support probably should have recommended from the start.
What I did was uninstall Foxit, restart computer, download Foxit WITH THE FIREFOX ADDON AS PART OF THE DOWNLOAD and installation.
Foxit with the Firefox addon installed quickly and smoothly. Made sure I had all prefs in Foxit set to make Foxit the default PDF Reader.
Tested with several sites that had PDF pages. All opened quickly and smoothly and ran GREAT. Recommend to customers with Foxit issues like mine was to use my idea. The problem will be solved in less than 10 minutes.
Have a nice day and a Merry Christmas!
