Beta is the next version of Firefox due to be released in 5 weeks, and Aurora is the one after that - like an Alpha development version.

Thank you. I've already downloaded Aurora so I guess I'll leave Beta alone.

Aurora is currently Firefox 8.0a2

So no one knows the difference of Aurora or why should I go with Aurora. As currently I have issues with Plugins not compatible with FF v4, v5 & v6 , so Beta is v7 and Aurora is Firefox 8.

Thank you, USMC FireDoc

The difference between Beta and Aurora is 1. If you have to ask what Aurora is, you shouldn't use it.

The current release version is Firefox 6.0, the Beta is 7.0, Aurora is 8.0, and Nightly is 9.0.

When Firefox 7.0 is released in 4 weeks, 8.0 will be the Beta version, Aurora will be 9.0, and the cutting edge Nightly development version will be 10.0.

The Beta, Aurora and Nightly are different channels of development and not tied to any one version.

The Aurora and especially Nightly are more for testers and devs while the Beta branch (currently 7.0b4) is currently probably even stable enough even for the normal Firefox users who think 6.0.2 is the latest.
