As reported in my earlier posting on 3 July, the only way I could see the full screen view of my Hotmail in "compose" mode was to either Reload the Hotmail webpage or go into Full Screen Mode. Now how do I get out of Full Screen mode, as I've lost all windows headers and toolbars. (NOTE: I use 1024x768 resolution. Do I have to go to a higher resolution before returning from Full Screen mode? Restarting may retain settings I do not want.) I apologize if this turns out not to be a Firefox issue afterall.

Sounds like something you could have just added to your previous post, rather expecting that we might find your previous post and work out a new answer.

Then again if we just repeat what you read previously you won't like the answer any better than before. If you have a specific web page that you're have a bit more of a problem than other that as well might help.

Full Screen mode:

  • toggle in and out with F11
  • toggle in and out via View menu -- "Alt+V" > F (Full Screen)
  • while in Full Screen Mode move and hold mouse at top of window -- anything you would do before can be done in Full Screen as long as you stay up high within the toolbars. Including as Cor-el pointed out recently (hope it wasn't yours) you can press the "Maximize" button and then the "Restore" button.

I can do the same on Hotmail, the only peculiar thing is that there is a delay and it likes to show my full desk top in between. I am on Windows 7.

Thanks, "dmcritchie". Once I looked for "Full Screen Mode" I discovered at least 4 others who had identical/similar question with similar solutions. How I finally solved it (before I discovered the "identical" postings - which I've copied along with solutions) was to aim the cursor pointer past the top of the screen causing the windows top border to suddenly appear (moving the window down), the right-mouse clicked on "Restore", and I'm back to where I wanted to be. I'll mark this is solved next.
