To get the new UI you need to hide the menu bar. To do that in the View menu select Toolbars, then click on the "Menu Bar" entry.

If you need access to the menus you can press either Alt or F10 to temporarily display them.

TonyE, thank you very much for the helpful reply. However, do you happen to know why FireFox choose to hide the extremely useful Menu items in version 4.0? Are they trying to mimic the cumbersome navigation requirements in Chrome?
