I have FF 3.6.14. -- About 90 minutes ago, I read E-Week article titled "Google, Mozilla Patch Browsers Before Pwn2Own Hacker Contest" (http://www.eweek.com/c/a/Security/Google-Mozilla-Patch-Browsers-Before-Pwn2Own-Hacker-Contest-382308/) and so downloaded and installed it -- I may have had v. 3.5.x at that time but maybe I had 3.6. Not sure.

After installing that security updated, Netflix, Hulu, MSNBC and a slew of other site stated that videos couldn't be played. Not a cache issue, etc. either. So I updated FF and Flash to current versions. Still no go.

I can play all videos in IE but not in FF. So it's something to do with that security update. I have turned of my NoScript completely (allow scripts globally) and it makes no difference.

I can't rollback to 3.5 if that's what I had, so this has to be fixed somehow.

PLEASE help. Thanks.

The problem seems to be related to Flash and Video drivers. Try updating your video drivers first of all.

As a temporary workaround try hovering your cursor over the place where the pop-out button should be below the YouTube video screen, then left click there. The video will then display in the pop-out screen.

Thanks for reply, but I don't see how it can be video drivers since video players work on all other browsers. I updated my drivers pretty recently too. This problem started immediately after I did the security update for Firefox and only affects Firefox. And, actually YouTube is the only site on which I can see video -- but I rarely go there. However I do pay for Netflix - and similar to Hulu, it's error message states there is a possible network or internet connection problem -- which there isn't for I can browse anywhere I want to go, just not see videos besides at YouTube.

It is a problem with .14. Just reinstall version 3.6.13 aviailible via mozilla's ftp site: ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/3.6.13/win32/en-US/ Mozilla is working on a fix.

Efreak:

Thanks for response. That link didn't work for me as many others, but I did find one for .13 that worked. Installed it over .14 and... BINGO! I'm back up running. You saved my situation :o)

I usually don't use torrent or peer-to-peer sites for I'm a bit ethic-compulsive about copyrights and EULAs, etc. But in this case, since it was Firefox problem, I figured I had a right to rollback this way since no .13 is available at Mozilla anymore.
