This seems to be related to DNS issues with Youtube and is actually not a Firefox-specific problem. If you try this with other browsers you will likely see the same error messages.

Unrelated to your issue, it looks like you're using a very old version of Firefox. You should upgrade to the latest version, 9.0 -- just go to the Help menu and click Check for Updates. Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
