OS: Mac OS X 10.6.4 Firefox: 3.6.8

Firefox constantly ask if its the default browser every time it starts up. Even if the settings of default browser in Safari is set to Firefox, problem still persist. I am not sure if CleanMyMac app is the actual cause.

Isn't there a box to un-check that has to do with asking if you want Firefox to check if it is the default browser every time you open Firefox - on MacOSX?

I know the Linux and Windows versions of Firefox have that option.

Yes I can uncheck it. Then Safari will become the default browser which is not what I want. Every time I click a link in mac mail, the link opens safari, it will only open ff if I open ff first and make it a default browser. In other words, I have to make it the default browser every time I boot my mac else safari will be the default.

Does that work?
