Whilst sending a link from my Proton drive to others i have realised Firefox (latest version on ios also latest version) does not manage to do a basic fundamental task, I triple checked all the basic settings that could interfere, cleared caches etc etc

It flashes up a warning pop up, i click download, It reaches 100% then opens up a blank window, No file inside any download folder on iphone. It's a 200mb audio file, uncompressed.

I tried with Safari & instantly achieved the download even running a VPN, Firefox is my default browser on desktops & mobile devices for sync etc so this is very inconvenient.

Answers would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

p.s The support answer for 'download photos & files on Firefox for iOS' is long outdated, There is no 'your library' anymore in the settings, You just have a downloads tab which reveals no files.
