Since upgrade to 78.6.1 (64-bit) on Pop OS 20.10, I am unable to minimize the Thunderbird window using the title-bar button. I can right-click on the title-bar and choose "Minimize" but clicking the minimize button does nothing

have you contacted the release maintainers? Most Linux releases build their own Thunderbird from source and unfortunately while the program should be the same, the many and varied windowing environments in Linux makes it not quite so. Integration issues are quite difficult as few actually use the distribution to try and replicate the issue.
