I am trying to organise my address books, which are very messy after years of using TB and not doing anything about it. but I cannot remove a single contact from the books! I have a Mac, but I deleted the contact I wanted to remove from my Mac contacts, but no way can I delete it from TB. And there is one contact with a spelling mistake that keeps appearing when I start typing a name, But I can't find it in the address book! It's simply not there, but If I don't watch out, I do use it.

I don't have a Mac -- I'm on Windows -- so perhaps there is a difference though that would seem an odd difference. What happens when you go into the Address Book on TB, select a contact, and then click on delete. On my machine, it deletes the contact from the Address Book. What does it do on yours?

Nothing, absolutely nothing!!! I also can't edit anything.

Wow. That bites. I'm sorry that I can't offer you anything -- I'm guessing this is a problem unique to the Mac version.

One thing I can think of. I am running version 68. Version 78 changed the Address book to use a Sqlite database. It is possible that this is a bug introduced by that change.

Could it be a permissions issue? I don't know anything about the Mac security model but perhaps the Sqlite files in your profile aren't writeable by you.
