Bizarre Problems Connecting to CPANEL through Godaddy
I have always had challenges getting the recommended CPANEL server settings to work in Thunderbird. However, I managed to have them working fine until this week, after we had an issue with malware on our site, which was removed. We have all also had to completely reset our PCs due to this virus.
Now, I had to use truly bizarre settings (compared to the recommendations) in order to get Thunderbird to work with my emails.
However, some of my team cannot get their OUTGOING mail to work at all, no matter what setting we have tried. We have exhausted our creativity, research, and troubleshooting with Godaddy.
Attached are: 1 the settings recommended in Godaddy CPANEL, 2 the incoming and outgoing settings I got to work for me.
Any thoughts?

You may have already tried it, but what happens when you use godaddy's recommended settings?
imap.secureserver.net on port 993 or pop.secureserver.net on port 995, SSL/TLS, smtpout.secureserver.net on port 465, SSL/TLS, or 587, STARTTLS.
If you have to use non-secure settings for the outgoing server, it suggests there's an antivirus program scanning secure connections, and blocking sending. What is the AV, and is the TB profile folder excluded from scanning (the recommended setup)? Running Windows in safe mode is a way to test the interference of startup apps such as antivirus.

Thank you. I tried the above settings you suggested and it will not connect at all, for incoming or outgoing. With the settings I have attached previously (which are NOT the Godaddy or CPANEl suggestions), I can get incoming and outgoing to work on MY computer, but my team mates can only get incoming to work.
I am on a Surface Pro and it appears it is not possible to connect to the internet when in "safe mode with networking" so I cannot test. I did, however, try it with Avast turned off. It it possible my firewall with Godaddy is blocking me?
Do you mean you can't run in safe mode with networking over wifi? Turning off Avast may not be sufficient to remove its effects; better to uninstall it and use Windows Defender.
I don't know why it works with STARTTLS on port 110; the default on port 110 is security = none.
Yes, when I run it in safe mode with networking, even after trying what that article suggested, I cannot get any internet to connect or even show up as an option.
What is even stranger than the 110 normally being no security, my security is supposed to be using SSL/TLS not STARTTLS. Until LAST WEEK, the following settings were what worked. These are the recommendations in CPANE, however we had to add "mail." where were not in the original instructions.
SSL/TLS
Incoming Server: mail.tra....com
IMAP Port: 993 POP3 Port: 995
Outgoing Server: mail.tra....com
SMTP Port: 465
So weird... after talking about this, my Thunderbird stopped receiving incoming mail. I had to remove the STARTTLS and change it to insecure. I think it's possessed.

I would suggest you actually include the server name you are trying to connect to. Especially as this issue appears to affect you and only your hosted server.
My website, or I guess "server name" is transformationacademy.com
