and everything... it seems your post got cut off. Could you provide more information about what is happening now when you try to download? Is there an error message, etc.

(Just to be clear, you can't do that by email, you need to come back to the forum at https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1284702)

Could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In its Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, any userChrome.css/userContent.css files, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

If Firefox is not running: Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. (On Mac, hold down the option/alt key instead of the Shift key.)

If Firefox is running: You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" Help button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • (menu bar) Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

Both scenarios: A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?

Is there more information on the download arrow drop-down about why it might have failed? We need more clues. :-)

One possible place to find more detailed error messages is the Browser Console -- Ctrl+Shift+j.

When that first opens, it will have some accumulated messages. Click the trash can above the list to clear that, then switch over to the download page and try again, then switch back over to the console to see whether any new messages appeared there.
