Hi team,

We are planning to implement Thunderbird company wide, but we we have asked by the client that the users will not retain any emails for more than 72 hours. I checked all available options but no luck.

It would be if anyone can help me on this, typically looking for a script or so to achieve this.

Greatly appreciated.

Thanks Prasad

In Tools/Account Settings, there is a Synchronization & Storage section for each (IMAP) account where you can set the retention policy. It can also be done for individual folders by right-clicking a folder, Properties, Retention Policy.

To do this manually (or automatically), you could create a filter that acts on messages whose Age is more than 3 days. Other rules besides the Age could be added for finer control.
