my website has a different TITLE on the web tab - how do I change it>
I have a personal website through Yahoo site Solutions. The tab on mozilla says the title is a group I am not affiliated with and is not me. How do I correct this?

HI, more info please as well as the URL

www.heidihalsey.com Title page says : Sound Counseling Associates Thank you
<title>Sound Counseling Associates - am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist / Counselor I am a Life / Relationship / Family / Parenting & CoParent Coach & Trainer I am a trained Family Mediator </title> Best Practice = Title is too long, less than 55 characters including spaces. Rest goes in in description which if remember is no more than 255
Still not enough info. I see nothing that says you are a group. Where are you seeing this ?

Get a google webmaster account if trying to do as a biz, submit only clean code : https://www.google.com/webmasters/ as hates bad coding. this way can play with your meta tags, description and title to improve ranking. Get a Bing Webmaster account https://www.bing.com/toolbox/webmaster/?lc=1033 Actually learn code : https://www.w3schools.com/
Can you attach a screenshot?
- use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot
The screenshot doesn't show the tab - the tab is where it says sound counseling associates - I am not sound counseling associates and am not affiliated with them so I don't know why that is listed on my tab instead of HeidiHalsey.com
Thank you - I will look over the other suggestions for website mangement and hosting after my next three clients.
Thank you
Hi Heidi, I don't know how you publish your site, but somewhere in your settings the page title (the <title> tag) is set to that long title Pkshadow mentioned. If you want that to read differently, you'll need to figure out where you can edit that.
Note: The <title> is normally what search engines show when your site comes up in the results, and it may have an effect on your ranking in search results, so choose carefully.
