When I open Firefox an unwanted translator tab appears. I simply don't know how to change it so that it does not appear anymore. This never happened with the previous version.

Hi,

This sounds like is caused by malware on your computer. There a couple of places to look to remove this:

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu and choose Add-ons.
  2. In the Add-ons Manager tab, select the Extensions panel.
  3. Select the toolbar you wish to remove.
  4. Click the Remove button.
  5. Click "Restart now" if it pops up. Your tabs will be saved and restored after the restart.

If that doesn't work, you may want to run an antivirus scan on your computer. You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
