Some mbox folders (typically the larger ones) have emails in them but they don't show up in Thunderbird, while the emails in other folders do. Some of the missing emails show up in search results, but when I click on a result it brings me to an empty list. How can I have Thunderbird display all the emails in an mbox folder? I am on a PC.

Mbox is still the default format and should cause no issues.

Did you try right-clicking the names of the affected folders, choosing Properties and selecting Repair Folder?

Please keep in mind that chances of "corruption" of any indexing files (solved this way) may increase when leaving a large number of messages in one folder. Compating regularly (or doing so automatically in settings) and moving messages to other folders should minimize that chance.
