weather.com columns not working properly
weather.com columns will not open when I click on them. Same with Chrome, not working. IE works fine.
Both Firefox and Chrome work on Windows 10 preview on a virtual machine, Virtual Box.

Hello Doghandler, probably some extension you have install is the cause of the issue, to check that try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe Mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily turns off hardware acceleration, resets some settings, and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:
- Click the menu button , click Help and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.
If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Safe Mode as follows on Windows: Hold the Shift key when you open the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut. When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".
If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme, or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.
To exit Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before opening Firefox for normal use again.
When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.
thank you
I've tried all the troubleshooting stuff, safe mode, refresh, turning off Kaspersky . Here is some interesting console output. The columns work on the today page. Here's some output from a column click:
GET http://ping.chartbeat.net/ping [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 74ms] GET http://ping.chartbeat.net/ping [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 237ms] GET http://odc.weather.com/b/ss/twciwx/1/H.26/s94663094039683 [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 388ms]
On the hourly, weekend, 5 day, and 10 day pages when I click on a column I get:
GET http://ping.chartbeat.net/ping [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 106ms]
For some reason I'm not getting the download from odc.weather.com. I think the key is understanding this failure.
This sounds like a problem with weather.com
There are so many VASTLY better weather sites out there, I suggest you switch to one of those. weather.com is just full of clickbait and spam, making money for its owners. Weather Underground would be a good place to start.
Well, let's just fix this for fun. 8^)
You should contact weather.com if you want to make any progress in this. It is not a problem with Firefox if the same thing happens in Chrome.
