Is it possible to open PDFs in Firefox 31 using Adobe Reader 11?

Searching on the internet shows that Adobe Reader and Firefox have had issues working together for a long time. Are these issues still ongoing or have they been resolved? When I try to open a PDF in my browser it only shows a white page.

I can't use PDF.js because the PDFs I need to use have editable fields and javascript programming.

Hi Pagoda, Thank you for your question. I understand that you would like to know if Adobe reader 11 works in Firefox.

We can try an experiment, because I do not know this yet. If you change the application associated with the .pdf extension temporarily and try to open a pdf how does it look? Applications panel - Set how Firefox handles different types of files

If there is a specific question about editable fields and javascript in a pdf, you can file a new issue in the pdf.js github repository: https://github.com/mozilla/pdf.js/iss.../new for more technical details.

Update, there are open issues for both of these, but correct they have not been implemented yet.

That might be a problem on Mac because this is a known issue on Mac and the Adobe Reader plugin is disabled because of this.
