why if i open a new tab on my mac it opens at the back, but on my pc it opens right after the page i am on???

any ideas? is any way to set up to open the tab on my mac the same way like on pc, to open new tab right next to the tab i am on?

That is a new feature in Firefox 3.6 versions, which 3.5.17 doesn't have.
