i need to access the "last months" worth of history under the history tab. It currently only shows 7 days. Under Tools, options, privacy, I had it set to remember 90 days.

I've restored the browser history using about:config to show the last months instead of just last 7 days... While I have "last months" option now, it still only goes back the # of days I had before adding it... I then tried restoring my computer back to a certain date to retrieve deleted history (although it was never specifically deleted, just not kept) and the "last months" option under "show all history" went away because that was a more recent change.

I really need to access past web pages but have yet to find a successful resolution to the problem.. I'd appreciate any help!

You can look at these prefs on the about:config page.

To open the about:config page, type about:config in the location (address) bar and press the "Enter" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.
If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.

thanks, but as I mentioned, I already tried extending or restoring the # of days using about:config. It gives me the "last months" option under "show all history", but does not actually list the last month's worth of history... it still only goes back the 7-8 days or whatever the # of days from the date I make that change.

What to do? I need to access those sites from about 35 days ago.

If older history was deleted then it won't come back and you have to wait a few days so Firefox can store new history.

Does all currently saved history stay visible or are you still losing history that is older than 7 days?
