How do I restore URL after some editing?
Hi, thank you in advance for your time
- Env
Windows 10 Pro
- Situation
Assume I am viewing a web page like "www.google.com" After focusing on address bar (with Ctrl+L) , and edit it to be like "www.google.co.jp", how do I restore the URL to the original one?
- My workaround
I press F5 to refresh/reload the page, and get "www.google.com", which is fine for most cases. Except sometimes I cannot refresh the page(eg. when I am writing this post)
- Question
I wonder if there are any shortcuts to restore the URL for current page?
Thank you so much

You should get the original URL by pressing the ESC key.
Does that work for you ?

Hi, Thank you so much! I had the impression I can press escape to get original URL(some time ago), but it does not work now. Then after reading your post, I noticed that - First Escape cancel the suggestions - Second Escape return the URL
been bothering me for so many years...THANK YOU!
Note to my self: Chrome, 1 Escape Firefox, 2 Escapes
