I have several bookmarks in the bokkmark menu bar, also folder, some of them, not all, get lost after starting a new session with firefox. For example "Google" ist gone, but "ebay" not. In the further session, i used both of them... One bookmark ist doubled after the new start??? I don´t know what´s going on :-)??

As you can see ( or not ;-) )in the picture "Wetter" (=weather) is doubled, missing are folders calles "Music" and "Bike", the bookmark for google ist gone...

Any ideas?

Stephan

Hi, open the 3-bar menu > Help > Troubleshooting Information, then near the bottom look for Places Database and click on Verify Integrity. Restart Firefox afterwards - Use the Troubleshooting Information page to help fix Firefox issues.

If that doesn't help, you may have a corrupt places.sqlite file in your Profile. For that, and other things to check, please see - Can't add, change or save bookmarks - How to fix.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please help other users by marking the best reply as Solved. Thank you!

Are you possibly using Sync to sync bookmarks ?

more options

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.

[v57+] Places Maintenance is built into Firefox.

Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.

You will find Places Database near the bottom. Press the Verify Integrity button.

When done, copy and post the results here.
