I have an Excel project. I have some VBA code to move a folder. VBA was erroring out at that line of code.

In trying to figure out what was going on i took a look for any locks on the target folder with a program called LockHunter. Besides Excel having a lock on the folder, it showed five instances of FireFox locking the folder. The folder has absolutely nothing to do with FireFox, it is a folder with confidential data on a specific business. Once i released each of the FireFox locks on that particular folder the line of code ran without a problem.

In trying to recall any possible interaction between FireFox and the particular folder, i recall that i had printed a screenshot from FireShot in FireFox to that folder. Certain credit reports were also printed to that folder that were accessed through FireFox. I will try each previous interaction and attempt to define if one of those actions creates the locks. Aside from this, any and all thoughts are welcome; i seem to be naturally paranoid, but when dealing with confidential information, even more so...

If these locks are the result of poor coding on the part of Mozilla, FireShot or the credit agency i use, can anyone with coding expertise suggest a VBA means to specifically release any and all locks on a folder imposed by FireFox?

Thank-you!

firefox isn't a excel program and that requires something like MS Office with excel to open excel program. firefox has not control over excel or anything related to MS Office software that would be a Microsoft Office support to respond to the excel problem.

Though in this instance related to Excel as it was from an error report within Excel that the issue was detected, the focus should be: "Why is FireFox locking folders on my computer?"

I would think any reasonable person would be concerned over this, aren't you?
