Have had the calendar tab, but it has disappeared ... and the drop down list does not include the calendar option.

Lightning, the Thunderbird calendar, is an add-on. Is it installed? Is it enabled? Go to the add-on tab, select Extensions and check. If disabled, enable it. If not listed, enter lightning in the search box and install it.

Lightning has been installed but now has disappeared. Per your instructions, I click on the triple bar icon and get the list of options, of which “add-ons” is one. I click on “adds-ons” and get a screen w/ choices in the left column of which “Extensions” is highlighted. The main part of the display is titled, “Lightning Calendar Tabs.” The text is, “An addon which extends the Lightning calendar views with tabs.” Three (3) boxes are listed for selection: “Options”, “Disable”, and “Remove.” Place cursor on Options and a box says, “Change this add-ons options.” Place cursor on Disable and the box changes to “Enable” w/ an additional text line added to the top of the page ... “Lightning Calendar Tabs will be disabled after you restart Lightning” ... along w/ 2 additional options on which to click ... “Restart now” and “Undo.” Place cursor on Remove and a box says, “Uninstall this add-on (restart required)” In addition there is a “More” box on the screen which brings up a screen titled, “Lightning Calendar Tabs 2.0" by “jlx84.” I’ve done nothing with tat option. There is also a “gear” icon with a pull-down menu offering 6 choices of which one is checked ... “Update Add-Ons Automatically.” What am I doing wrong? ^^^^ jsh

Are you asking about getting Lightning to work or this Lightning Calendar Tabs you keep talking about?

Also what purpose did reposting the same info a second time without answering the question serve?

Sorry about the re-posting. All I want is to recover the calendar tab that used to pop-up when I opened Bluebird. ^^^ jsh

I guess if you are not going to answer questions I will leave this for someone else. I am not going to waste anymore time with this one.

Good grief ... What else do you want? I wrote everything I know how to describe the problem. I regret that I am so lacking in computer skills that I can't seem to communicate to you what you are saying you need. Your last inquiry - "Are you asking about getting Lightning to work or this Lightning Calendar Tabs you keep talking about?" I can't think of anything else to provide. I am asking how to restore the Lightning tab to the Thunderbird application screen. I honestly don't know how to describe it in any other way. But here's another shot at it ... When I click on the Thunderbird icon on my home page, I get only the inbox tab at the top of the page. Formerly, when doing this, it also displayed the Thunderbird tab ... but not highlighted. When I wanted to display the calendar page, I would move the cursor to the faded tab and click... then the calendar would be displayed. Please don't give up on me ... I have provided all the info I know how to provide.

There is Lightning, the Thunderbird calendar, and an add on called Lightning Calendar Tabs. 2 different things. If and when you decide what you are asking about maybe someone will help you.

Not ever having known of the Lightning Calendar Tabs, it must be the Thunderbird Calendar for which I seek help. Thank you for continuing to keep our communication alive.

Try following my first post. You had your answer 11 hours ago if you had just followed simple directions.

OK ... We're clearly not listening to each other. I did what you suggested as "simple directions" when you provided that info. What I replied to you at that time is the result of following your "simple instructions." The problem is that it got me no where ... which is what I conveyed to you at that time ... twice. I'm ready to call it all off. Don't bother replying ... But thanks for trying.

Go to the add-on tab, select Extensions and check. If not listed, enter lightning in the search box and install it.

If you did this, Lightning would be installed. Good luck!
