Running MacOS 10.10, Firefox and Thunderbird. Not getting mail. Frontier (SP) says I can get mail through web mail and Thunder bird was somehow corrupted. Should re-install Thunderbird. My question is what is best way to do that and not lose anything.

Bad advice is cheap, and it sounds ti me like Frontier have employed someone that is handing out plenty.

Reinstalling rarely if ever fixes any problem in Thunderbird related to connectivity or failure to get mail. That is because the uninstall reinstall does not remove or modify in any way your existing data and settings.

Recently Mac owners have started installing anti virus programs and are starting to understand just what pigs of programs they are. Do you have one?
